Your plan
The trial, the subscription, and what happens if a payment fails.
The trial
A new workspace starts with the trial its plan carries, shown when the workspace is created, and needs no card. You hear from the service three days before it ends and once more on the last day.
Subscribing
On the workspace page choose Subscribe and pick monthly or yearly, each at your plan's price for it, shown at checkout. Stripe takes the card on its own page and the workspace is active as soon as the payment settles. Manage billing opens Stripe's portal for invoices, the card and cancellation. The price is shown before you pay; a change is announced 30 days ahead.
If a payment fails
The workspace shows a warning while Stripe retries the card. Everything keeps working during that time. If the subscription ends, or the trial ends without one, the workspace becomes read-only: contributors cannot submit new work, and that is the only change. You can still review, settle, export, change settings and disconnect; drafts in Ghost are untouched; nothing is deleted. Subscribing lifts the block at once.
A free plan, or one no longer offered
A workspace on a free plan, as the design partners' are, has no subscription: its workspace page says the plan is free and has no Subscribe button. A plan that is no longer offered keeps working as it did for the workspaces already on it; the workspace page says the plan is no longer offered and has no Subscribe button: ask us to move your workspace to a plan that is offered. When your plan has a description, the page shows it under the plan's line.
